did we figure out definitively to whom this plane belongs? Where all did it fly prior to the Hawaii-Oakland flight? Did it originate in Dallas earlier this week?

Not to Hawaii in the past month. Originated in Dallas on Dec. 27th. Lots of Dallas and Oakland destinations.

Why would Jones be flying from Kona? That is 163 miles from Honolulu. I am thinking it is not the flight we are looking for.

It originated in Dallas. Dallas to Oakland to Kona to Oakland to Dallas. BUT it has had many stops in the West. Stop in Oakland a month ago, Burbank, San Diego, Phoenix, Sacremento. Also, stops in College Station, Austin, Houston, Cleburne, Denton, and Omaha.
