Are the Frogs Thinking Undefeated? Here is an article suggesting that TCU has this objective. With their upcoming loss to SMU, 11-1 is the best they can do.

Re: Are the Frogs Thinking Undefeated? You almost wish the Frogs could go undefeatred just to see how it affects the BCS. But since they are on our schedule, lets play out their fantasy and let them play us with a clean record, then get beaten like they richly deserve.

Re: Are the Frogs Thinking Undefeated?I hope TCU goes 12-0 and wins their bowl game, perhaps even busting the BCS...why not? If they can attain a high enough Coaches and AP poll ranking they might get that consideration. Especially in light of the recent backlash. I hope they do.
Patterson is a defensive genious and is turning out to be a much better coach than anyone could have expected. I mean, if we can win, I hope SMU beats them at the end, but I at the very least hope they are 11-0 going into that game. And if we win, it will make us look all that much better, if we lose then hopefully TCU goes to the BCS.

Re: Are the Frogs Thinking Undefeated?with road games at Tulane, Arizona, USF and USM...I wouldn't look for the frogs to come into Dallas unbeaten...but IF they were able to pull that off...well, let's just say our game with TCU will arguably be the biggest game SMU has played in since returning from the death penalty. TCU would be looking at qualifying for an at-large bid to the BCS series and you can bet that game would draw national attention. I would'nt bet against a national TV broadcast.
More realistically, look for the frogs to come into that game no better than 9-2.
Re: Are the Frogs Thinking Undefeated? In all honesty we SHOULD come into Dallas at 11-0, if we can avoid the letdowns we have every year. BUT, if we do come in undefeated, and lets just say for arguments sake that SMU comes in with a shot at a bowl, how awesome would that game be? Talk about re-heating the rivalry. For both teams sake, I hope that is the scenario. For all of you who think I am insane, you may be right, but I doubt it...
Re: Are the Frogs Thinking Undefeated?Even if TCU goes undefeated, they still will not have the respect of the top team due to their strengh of schedule. Since TCU is in a non-BCS conference, they must schedule tougher non-conference teams to earn respect. Fresno State did that a few seasons ago and won some big games. There also is a strong argument that the WAC has better teams than C-USA.
Re: Are the Frogs Thinking Undefeated? How is TCU going to be undefeated after they lose to Tulane in the first game?

Re: Are the Frogs Thinking Undefeated?I'll go on record right now and say Tulane will win that game-not because I don't respect TCU's talent but rather because its going to be an emotional game for Tulane with a BIG CROWD and Tulane is going to take out a lot of frustration with all they've been through this offseason. Tulane is a good football team and they can be tough in the Superdome before a rowdy crowd.
