Link below. UT #4, TCU didn't make the cut. They are PISSED on their board.
UNT actually got a vote. Okl State is ranked. It will be fun if they still are when they come to Dallas.

Forget TCU being robbed. Why weren't we on that list. I am pissed.

Congratulations to North Texas on getting a vote. I think the emergence of Brandon Kennedy as a legitimate national award candidate (not winner, but candidate) might have made some people notice UNT who otherwise might not know the school even exists.

Houston Nutt probably cast that vote for UNT. At the SEC coaches meetings this week, Nutt proclaimed Arkansas' schedule to be the toughest in the SEC (featuring Texas, UNT, NMSU & Tulsa). Somehow, I don't think so!
Oh...and Duke no longer makes the poll because Spurrier no longer has a vote! Every year since he left Durham, he had cast a vote for the Blue Devils.

Shouldn't that have been "some person?" After all it was only one vote.

Actually, "some person" is probably Darrell Dickey. If Bennett had a vote could we get mentioned?

Actually, I meant "some people" -- not "some person" -- because while nobody has more than one vote, of course, I was suggesting (tongue-in-cheek) that maybe there were multiple voters who never had heard of UNT.

Uhhh, Charleston Pony, Arkansas this year has to play #4 Texas, #6 Auburn, #15 LSU, #16 Tenn, and #21 Florida, plus the rest of an SEC schedule. Houston Nutt isn't that far off base calling it the hardest in the country.

You could make a case for Florida as well:
#3 Miami
#9 Georgia
#12 Florida State
#15 LSU
#16 Tenneseee
But I think Arkansas has the edge because they also have Alabama and Ole Miss on the road.

Damone: Nutt's comment was that Arkansas had the toughest NON-CONFERENCE schedule. Everyone in the SEC plays a tough conference schedule.
And Nutt wasn't the vote for UNT...just noticed he doesn't have a vote in that poll. There were 3 SunBelt coaches with votes. My guess would be one of them promoting his conference. Why not?

Heck, even on the GoMeanGreen.com football part of the message board, SMU received a Top 5 Texas D1-A ranking with a forecasts that the Ponies will beat Texas Tech, go thru the WAC unbeaten and, well, you have to read the rest for yourself. NOTE: Its in the thread that reads something like, "WHO ARE YOUR TEXAS TOP 5 COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAMS" (or something like that).
On the USA Today poll: Can a coach who votes even vote for their own school?
