Does Jones stay with the new girlfriend or go back to the ex

Isn't that basically what we are looking at?
Originally, I kind of agreed with Stallion's old statements - that if Jones showed interest, it was really just a contract ploy.
But him flying to Dallas, the resignation letter, and everything else indicates that there is true interest here.
This isn't just a scheme to run up his numbers. In reality, the ex came back into the picture. She is doing the typical stuff - saying that she will do anything it takes to change, get the [deleted] job, be nice to his friends, anything.
The reality, as we all know, is that it is a bunch of crap. If she wanted to change, she would have done it during the relationship. The facility upgrade, the assistant salary boosts - that is all stuff that one person (Governer, university president) can't decide. That is something the legislature and public have to act on and support. It hasn't been done in ten years, and it isn't going to happen now.
We all know that when you go back to the ex, the sex is great for a couple of weeks but nothing really changes. And you spend the time up until the final breakup wishing you had stayed with the other girl.
I can understand the appeal, but hopefully Jones makes the right call and moves on with the new chick with nice [deleted] and lowered (academic) standards.
