This doesn't mean a whole lot. There is a link right next to it that says Jones is expected to be announced as our coach on Monday.
The only conclusion I can make is that Jones's salary is out of the equation as Hawaii is in the ballpark. I think it is all about the commitment to upgrade their facilities and support for athletics.
