Could that information be any less reliable? That's some assuming from the reporter. In fact, based on what was written by husker, that's negligent reporting.

Blogger guy says he got it from the Assistant Coaches, who said there were calls made out this morning by June as he had taken the job.
Just sounds like a lot of he said this he said that stuff.

The assistant coaches at UH got a call from June and told them to notify the players that he would be leaving according to the reporter who wrote the blog entry in the Hawaii paper.

Reporter says June is coming back to Hawaii tomorrow just to sign scholarships for the recruiting process.
Report says 4 coaches will come with June.

I am cautiously optimistic that this is true.
ESPN is reporting it. They had three sources.
The Hawaii newspaper is reporting it. Their source is more than one assistant coach who heard from Jones himself.
I just think this is pretty solid reporting. Unless Jones changes his mind again, which I think is HIGHLY unlikely, I think we have ourselve a real fine football coach.

Cautious optimism is about right. I'm feeling good enough about this that I cancelled this afternoon's appointments, but not so good that I don't want confirmation from more solid sources. Like the SMU athletic department for instance.

Guy on the radio...just got off the phone with the assistant coaches...and it is confirmed. Jones to SMU.

The guy on the ESPN station in Hawaii just said he talked to an assistant coach personally who said Jones called to say he's going to SMU.
