Only time will tell, but for the first time in quite a while there is a real sense of hope and optimism. Hiring JJ sends a clear message that the university is committed to putting a quality product on the field.

Second greatest day since death penalty.

The first greatest day post DP was the first game back.

Third post DP was miracle on mockingbird.

Fourth post DP was beating TCU in 2005.

What about beating Houston in '92?

Where would you rank the premiere game at Ford Stadium and the win over Big 12 opponent Kansas?

I want to go on record as being pleased the search is over, and it is a bigger hire than the previous four coaches (with one caveat, that being the hiring of Gregg...it is arguable that he is/was bigger due to who he is and the situation being dealt with at the time).

If SMU is indeed getting the assistants mentioned, then I am very pleased...perhaps even moreso than simply getting Jones.

Time to go to work recruiting!

Probably the third best post DP day.

Second is the day SMU hired Orsini.

First was the day someone decided that things needed to change.

Honestly, would this be happening without Ford Stadium? I think we owe a BIG THANKS to Gerald J. Ford. Without the stadium we're just Hawaii with 11 fewer wins.
