You guys are getting a great coach. I remember when Coach Jones first came to Hawaii - the general feeling I got was that his goal was to outscore his opponent. Well, throughout the years we also got to see a lot of changes to Coach Jones' philosophy (for lack of a better word) - the importance of a good defense, the importance of a decent power running back (Nate Ilaoa), the importance of having good OTs (this past season), etc.

He brings all of this experience to you - at a price I believe we were willing to near (at least in terms of coach's salary). In any case, he brings with him an exciting brand of football. Sure going to miss it..

Well our loss is hopefully your gain..

With fans like that, you have to fell badly for those folks. but, for an AD to take care a business a bit, I can't help but fell Jones would have stayed indefinitely. I'm glad to have him. I think he's a class guy and an great coach. But, the good fans of Hawaii didn't really deserve this. I guess it comes under the heading of 'Stuff happens'.

We all hope Hawaii gets a great new coach to continue the winning tradtion June brought.

Docomo, after attending the press confrence in person it was clear JJ has strong feelings for you guys as well. We wish you the best and I will continue to pull for your Warriors.

I have to say that the people of Hawaii would make it very hard to leave. They have been so gracious and I wish the best for them. We'll be pulling for you.
