Tony: "I dont think this is a good move for Jones. I dont think SMU is a big enough job.." for someone with his credentials. Thought he could have landed a gig in the SEC or something.

Hmmmm.........kind of +/-.

Said he didn't think it was a good move for Jones and that he thought he deserved an SEC job or an NFL job.

Could take that either way, but I suppose it looks good for us if we hired an SEC or NFL caliber coach! (Besides, we're paying SEC/NFL money!) Way to go Steve-O!

I think Monday Night Football could have done alot better than Kornhseiser. That guy annoys everyone outside of Long Island.

Not true. He and Bill Simmons (ESPN.com) are the best columnists in the country, bar none.

SEC/ NFL money with Top 25 expectations. If Jones can put the team on the right path life is going to be pretty good for him here.

I think its a win-win. I guess waiting to be the last man standing is looking pretty good right now. The gamble paid off.

Plus, I think it will be a lot easier to win here in bunches than the SEC.
