local recruits

I apologize for not being able to give specific, but...
A good friend of mine from work went to a luncheon today up in Plano and SMU was the talk of the town amongst the group. Lots of rumors floating around about local recruits reconsidering SMu now that JJ is in place. He specifically named a big WR out of Allen that was reconsidering SMU now.
He said that everyone he talked to had high hopes for SMU and were talking bowl games and quick success.
Let's hope this talk is true.... anybody else heard anything?

Is he talking about the Buckner kid who committed to Texas?

all I remember was Stud WR and Allen AND reconsidering his commitment because of JJ
actually he told me that someone else had mentioned it to him before. I am not holding my breath that it will happen, but you never know... I dont think we are too the point of being able to steal recruits from the longhorns

This can't be true. We were told over and over, that this recruiting class was completely done.

Buckner is only decent WR prospect at Allen-so who really cares?

not true at all, Stallion.......JR WR Uzoma Nwachukwu is a stud. He will not be as highly ranked as Buckner, but he will be a TX top 100 player. Rivals has him considering Baylor, Houston, OU, OSU, TExas A&M and TCU

I had a similar conversation at lunch yesterday with a fellow who is a big supporter for a suburban school district's program. No names were mentioned, but he said this hire is getting good play.
Hey, at least folks are talking about us. Positively. For a change.
My gosh, even Mike Rhyner said some nice things yesterday afternoon.
