While the coming season is exciting, and I like hearing the news of our Mustangs, I read about moves ecu are making in an attempt to better position that school. I am curious if SMU is doing anything similar. To the point, ecu is looking to leave c-usa. They want to be a part of the bcs. Former ecu AD is Dave Hart, who has been heavily contacted by ecu boosters. Hart was also the AD at ecu before going to fsu. They have also hired Roy Kramer to lead theri bid to move. Kramer was former sec commish. ecu's chancellor was former prez. at auburn. ecu is also getting nc politicos to get invloved a la virginia tech. I only hope SMU can survive any coming shake ups.

Until then, I look forward to the continuing resurgence of the program under Bennett. I have always been a bit optomistic, but feel that maybe we really are going to get the ball going. I read and hear so many positive things that it starts to get me giddy.

GO PONIES!

Unfortunately, we haven't done anything on the field to merit any BCS consideration. Until we do, that is not even a thought. Gerald Turner and Copeland have lots of BCS contacts and friends from their days in the SEC and ACC respectively. Hopefully we can post a winning season soon, beat some big boys and look to the future.

even if we did anything on the field we still wouldn't get into the bcs-bs.....just look at byu!

then look @ duke, wake, baylor, rutgers & all those who never do anything on the field plus they stink up the world with their attendance that often is considerably below ours & they're in the bcs!!!! (their low attendance figures in spite of even being in the bcs)...let's just call it what it is....A CARTEL.....

& now its time for court action!!!!!!!!

N&C you are right on but all who mention those teams must realize there is a legacy factor. Once your are in you are in. Getting in is another matter, unless the BCS is deemed a cartel and all the cards are thrown up in the air.
