Jones to visit Houston

I just got an email about Jones coming to Houston next week for Coach of The Year awards dinner. Interestingly enough, the email came from the Cox School and not the athletic department. It gave info about the dinner and welcomed all Houston area alums (not all of us can live in God's country) to come out and show support. Another opportunity to Pony Up!

I think I will go. Wonder if I should wear my SMU tie or my Hawaiian shirt???

Yeah he's ours now. So wear a blazer, an SMU tie, and some loafers. :)

Oh yeah. And pop your collar!

Man Law #1 : No man shall pop his collar. To do so is a travesty to manliness.

Got this email too and wanted to see about getting a group of alums here to do a table at the event but upon further research the cheapest table available is $5,000 for 10 seats. A little more than I had planned on spending. Regular dinner tickets are $250 each for anyone interested.

100k a man PER YEAR for the next 5 years actually. Give them their due.

I'm not paying $500 a plate, and going out on the limb of recruiting 9 others to do so, to go to an awards ceremony that our new head coach happens to be a part of. Why don't you go ahead and sponsor a table big d*ck?

Good grief I know popping your collar is lame. I was being sarcastic.

Wear a blazer, an SMU 'Mustang" tie, and no shoes.
