2008 Season Tickets part 3

Talked to someone at the Ticket office. The reponse over there is great.

Here's the deal:
1. The deadline for renewals has changed. You have until April 30.

2. If you have season tickets -- like it or not -- a portion is going to the Mustang Club. For instance, if you were a Pony member ($250) and had two seats at $150 per ($300 for two), $60 (for two) was going to the Mustang Club in your name. All you had to do is pay the balance ($190) to maintain Pony level. The size of the contribution depends on the location of your seats.

This actually started in 2007, so whether he knew it or not or had season tickets or not, THE KEEPER OF THE STAR WAS A MUSTANG CLUB MEMBER AND WILL BE AS LONG AS HE HOLDS SEASON TICKETS.

3. Parking is going up. The Meadows garage is going to double to $240. The Deadman parking is going from $20 to $35.

4. Also, we did surpass 5,000 tickets last year. But based on early demand, the ticket office is expecting to blow that figure away.

In essence, season tickets are going down but parking and also Boulevard prices are going up.

Hey, don't complain. We want to be big time. Now, we really have to pony up.

That's all I have.

I talked to them today as well. Interesting enough, even though I have had season tickets, and am a Mustang Club member, they told me that the seats I have had in the past are NOT guaranteed, and I could lose them if I didn't pay for them TODAY.

With all the hoopla that has been created by the June hiring, there are a few technical issues I need to work out before I renew. I expressed that I would be renewing, upping my donation, and probably adding some more tickets, and was still told I had to pay TODAY to get them.

Interesting.

Honestly, I am not complaining about prices at all, even though parking is going up a bit. I look at it as my part to support the school and the program, and maybe like a buck of my season tickets is going to help offset JJ's salary for the next 5 years.

I am so excited about where we are that I am actually going to increase my season tickets from 2 to 4, and I will probably increase annual Mustang Club donation from a pitance to a paltry sum.

This is a ground floor opportunity folks, so get on board now and let's reassure Steve O, Turner, and the rest of the folks of the administration that we know football program is back and we believe in it!
