I am already thinking about the football magazines that hit the stores in this summer and how much pub we are going to be getting. Junebug needs to grace the cover of Dave Campbell's magazine. This hire is HUGE!

Yeah we got eight months before the start of the season...we need to somehow keep up the excitement until then

I wouldn't hold my breath of June Jones being on the cover of Dave Campbells. I'm sure we'll get a Colt McCoy/Graham Harrell/Stephen McGee cover.

Actually, DC's Texas Football is putting out a new winter issue.
Oddly enough, it went to press a day or two after Coach Jones' press conference. Hmmmm

I think we might see Sherman on there.
Regardless, there should be plenty of improved & positive info re: us including how we got some great recruits that weren't on the radar (Cyrus Gray,Nick Florence,Vincent McNeil etc)

Don't get your hopes up with "Dave Campbells - Texas Football" magazine.
I remember when we opened Ford Stadium. Nothing more than a little blub. Definitely not on the cover, either. First new stadium in the Southwest in 40 something years & nuttin. Pure nuttin.
Besides, "Texas" Football magazine is more a Big 12/BCS magazine than anything else. Screw'em!!!
I purchased that mag from '65 to the mid-80's - every dag-gum year!!! But with the cartel up & going, forget it!!!

I predict we see Coach Jones, Sherman, Briles and Sumlin on the cover.

I would love it but I wouldn't hold your breath on us getting these recruits nor being on the cover. We have been important and the news for a week but in reality until we start winning we can't expect people to continue to think we are newsworthy when compared to UT, A&M etc...

I remember when it was such a big deal to buy it in high school so that we could see our names in it and scope out our competition. Probably one of the proudest moments of my life when I looked under my team and I was listed as one of the notable players. One hit in practice and a serious concussion later and all the glory faded. At least it was my brain and not my knee though, still got to finish out the season.
Ah... High school.

There is no doubt that it was your brain and not your knee if you are pleased that your brain was the one injured.

Well said, '65. Funny how life has survived quite well without it.

No doubt about that. Glad I took my SAT before I got hurt. The nice thing about it was that my teachers took pity on me because I forgot everything I had learned in the first month of school. I didn't learn it well in the first place but my 8, yes 8 not 80, in biology turned into an 89. (Teacher said it'd be too suspicious if I got an A).
