I guess some things never change

A friend of mine emailed me a list of quotations from various football coaches/players that were made over the years. Things such as Bear Bryant: "I make my practices real hard because if a player is a quitter, I want him to quit in practice, not in a game." Or Alex Karras saying "I never graduated from Iowa, but I was only there for two terms....Truman's and Eisenhower's."

Included was one from Matty Bell of SMU that seems to have stood the test of time. He said "There's one sure way to stop us from scoring-give us the ball near the goal line."

:)

You may now consider that statement as no longer valid.

Anyone know how Hawaii did inside the redzone? Always found that pass first teams have trouble since you can only spread the field so much when you lose the ability to go vertical.

True but any good offense, uses combination routes for man coverage and influence type routes in a zone. Remember UH had the big full back, can't remember his name(45). So we might have to find a big body ;)
