I hope he takes our job. I have to be honest, he's the first choice. I should know by Tuesday on Phil.

That's a ballsy statement unless you know for sure the candidate will accept. Good luck to Phil...

Thank you for the losing seasons and poor recruiting Phil. Good old Phil said at his first year at SMU that he had the talent to win conference championships now.....how funny is was to see everyone drinking his kool-aid.....but wait, he is a nice guy.

I wish Phil the best (as long as we always beat Marshall - it wil REALLY irk me if his D steps up and stops our offense). He was a classy guy.

I would think that if the other opportunities are valid and closer to Texas, he'll take one of those. Remember, his second wife didn't leave College Station to come here.

Regardless, I'm glad there is something out there for him. Good guy. Pretty good defensive coordinator. Not a good head coach. I wish him well.

I wish him well :!:

Hope he hasn't gone senile on us, and thinks this Marshall is his old home
town. After all, he's forgotten more football than we'll ever know :!:

I think Matthew McC had the same problem when he was in the
movie. Thought he could commute from old hometown Longview.

Ease up, dude. Why keep kicking a guy that SMU already fired for not turning things around here? It wasn't for a lack of trying, and yes, he IS a good guy. So let people wish him well in his next endeavor, and just be happy with the fact that we have our new coach, and let it friggin' go!
