Interesting that Doak is second only to a talented woman.

Dickerson, Gregg, Berry, Levias in there too.

Throw in Lamar Hunt as an SMU visionary as well.

Good showing!

And yes, I know the list is almost 4 years old. Just wanted to show that greatness has been at the school and has the potential to be here again.

Even though they are not SMU alumni, Lance Armstrong rates a lot higher than he gets on the SI list, and Ken Hall is in a high school class all of his own.

Ha, Lance Armstrong at #50? He should be top 5 for sure. Byron Nelson should be higher that #7.

I'd have put another Mustang on there: Don Meredith (Mt.Vernon), QB for SMU and the Dallas Cowboys!

I think the reason Lance isn't ranked higher is that this list was compiled in 1999. Lance has done alot since then and I think if SI did an updated list he
would be ranked much higher.

Great list, but to me there is one Mustang missing, Kyle Rote.

Go Ponies!
