Quick search brought nothing up. I can't imagine this being a possibility, but what do I know?

Yellow Rose of Texas Bowl? That is the best they can do? How about one of the following:

Big D Bowl
Dallas Bowl
Thanks Laura Miller Bowl
Oil Bowl
Southwest Bowl
Dr Pepper Bowl
The National Championship Bowl
The Great Texas Shootout

back in the 80s i think, there was something called the Bluebonnet Bowl...so thats what they would call it i guess

Why can't the City of Dallas sue the old Cotton Bowl Classic people for
the use of the name of their stadium? Seems they stole it when they
moved on.

Call the new game The Cotton Bowl at Dallas Classic until the lawsuit
either by the City of Dallas against the stolen Cotton Bowl name or the
reverse suit is settled. :twisted:

Bluebonnet (Rice Stadium), Astro-Bluebonnet (Astrodome) - a Houston thang - it bit the dust - but not before the might Mustangs whipped OU in the best A-B Bowl game EVER.

The bowl should be named after the sponsor. The Victoria's Secret Bowl in Dallas has a nice ring. And I can't wait for the halftime show.

Hooters Bowl - Seriously, Exxon Mobil in Irving, Texas oughta get in the bowl game business and be a title sponsor - The Big XII needs to drop its tie-in with that dip-$h!t bowl in Shreveport - Lone Star Bowl - Big D Bowl - contrary to what the Joneses would lead you to believe, Dallas has a terrific venue and an outstanding reputation for 1st class hospitality. I don't believe it would be a hard sell - given all the assets of Dallas.
