Bonds now up to 313? It sounds like he and Adami are looking to start at DT.
Also, 7 lineman over 300, I assume that includes offensive linemen, correct?

I saw that, and was wondering if anyone else was confused. The way it was written made it sound like there are seven DEFENSIVE linemen over 300.
According to our newest roster, SMU's 300-pounders are:
DT Brandon Bonds -- 6-2, 313
OG Chris Poulos -- 6-2, 322
OG Townsend Hargis -- 6-4, 310
OT Sterling Harris -- 6-6, 310
OL Kenard Burley -- 6-5, 320
OT Chris Urbanus -- 6-5, 320
OL Justin Boren -- 6-4, 308
So yes, that does (obviously) include offensive linemen. Then again, the paper referred to Brandon Bonds as "Brandon Banks" - so take it with a grain of salt.

Bennett said that Bonds would start if the season started tomorrow (though he is the slowest sprinter on the DL)

As quick as Ieremia-Stansbury, Adami and Williams are, maybe you can let the speed slip a little to add some real size in the middle (see Sam Adams, Tony Siragusa, Gilbert Brown, Grady Jackson, etc., in the NFL).

If he can clog the middle, D.D. Lee, D.D. Johnson, Brian Bischoff and the rest of the LBs will put up bigtime numbers this year.

Hats off to Coach Faucette for helping these guys bulk up. When they arrived last year, Poulos was listed at 278, and Urbanus was listed at 260. With a little quick math, Poulos has added 44 pounds in a year, and Urbanus has added 60. Some of that must be turning baby fat into muscle (which is heavier than fat). But even taking that into account, this shows massive improvement. Chris and Chris should be commended for the time they've put in in the weight room (and the cafeteria).

Amazing what Faucette has done, especially with Bennett's recruits.
