On a similar note, we will also be having 6 away games this year.

Guess that completes the thread.

NCAA says to be Division One, you have to have five home games. In an 11 game schedule, the scrub teams would often schedule just two road nonconference games and just one home nonconference game in order to pocket the revenue of being cannon fodder.

Lots of teams in the 12 game schedule era have elected to take the check to play three road games. Look at Rice in 2006, they played at Fl. State, at Army, at UCLA, their one "home" nonconference game was Texas at Reliant Stadium. Look at NTSU , their 2007 nonconf. season was 4 away games: Arkansas, SMU and Oklahoma; NTSU had 3 road games in 2006 as well.

I am continually relieved that SMU hasn't whore'd itself out for one-off bodybag games solely for the check. It isn't in the best interest of the team.

SMU is not cutting us a deal.

Prices were reduced because we are not playing Texas Tech this year. Price is set by the individual prices of each game added up. We don't have a game big enough to charge what they did last year for TT. TCU would be close but not close enough.

Look for the price to go up again next year when/if (not sure) we play TT again.

Not sure about that. My season tickets last year were $150/seat, the same as this year.

Considering all the sideline seats are the same price with the exception of the one section at the 50 yard line, I guess he could say that about any season ticketholder.

What Pony Soup doesn't know is that I buy out an entire section!
