Decided not to click the link after what Pony Soup said, but there are so many great tailgate moments, it's hard to name just one. I thought the BLVD on Halloween was alot of fun. The Knuckleheads performing right in front our tent last year was great too. Coach Rossley stopping by to say hello on two occasions was neat. The ESPN "interview" about our SMU helmet display was a thrill. Just watching all the kids wide-eyed as they try to decide what candy to choose from our candy bowl makes it worth it all.

And your food is great, which brings me to ask, how is Big Tex?

Hands Down..Oct. 23rd., 1982..Austin, Tx. Traveled from Houston to Austin with the Houston / SMU alumni group, bus trip, pre game brunch at the Hyatt..stated drinking Tequila Sunrises at 10:30 am...GREAT pre game with a talk by Collins / Shields / Hitch..players loaded the bus as we ALL high fived everyone from ED to Billy Bob third stringer...at halftime, ended up at a Sigma Chi alums party Winnebago, which was parked next to the Owens Sausage 'bago, Kim Owens was a claasmate of mine..wild, wild scene out there, so much fun...back to the game "late" 3rd. Q...you know the rest of the story, more fun in the "bago lot post game, missed the Houston alum bus back home, party time USA in Austin that night, somehow got a room at the Hyatt, flew back to Hobby the next day where a fellow SMU frat bud picked us up with a cooler full of Coors...party time again till the wee hours that Sunday night..finally woke up Tuesday am for work...great memories...long live Bobby Leach. For those of you who think Ramon F. is the greatest thing since pockets on pants, SMU 30 UT 17.

mrydel....

Thanks for asking. "Big Tex" (the only person to ever have a heart attack at the Special Delivery Blvd Tent) continues to improve. It's a long road back for him after the quad bypass at 42 years old. He is back to work about 75% of the time. We're going to have to all kidnap him and beat on him until he swares off the smoking 100%. He says he is ready for the June Jones Air Show to begin!

I guess at 75% he can flip a 3/4 lb. burger. Tell him to get ready.

I guess it would have to be Halloween 2006 when most of our gang took off work that Tuesday to hang out (by ourselves) on the Boulevard. Price is Right on the Boulevard in costume is the true test of a tailgating die hard. Our graveyard decorations were the intro to the game telecast on ESPN -- still have that Tivo'ed. Bonus that we won.

Can't delete your imagination...as long as you don't spell it out.
