JJ San Antonio event
Posted: Fri Feb 29, 2008 11:14 amBest turnout we've ever had for San Antonio SMU event - about 50 folks, despite Spurs-Mavs game in town.... without that, we would have had 75 EASY! Orsini missed due to late flight, but Bob Sharp and alot of staffers were there. REALLY NICE EVENT!!
Several former athletes there, many who had not been to previous events. June was VERY personable and answered about 5 questions. QB - Sounds like he's looking forward to watching Turner in the Spring and Mitchell and Smith will be in teh mix when they get here in August. Wide open battle.... Defense, stated that the kids played hard last year, but perhaps not put into positions to make a difference. Defense will be aggressive, big play opportunity with risk of giving up big plays until they get enough players in where we can "set back a little bit more."
June Jones brims with confidence - kind of a "I've done this many times before successfully, why would this time be any different?" attitude. Great stories and updates, too many to share - and one he asked we not share via internet.
