Got an email at work yesterday for those of us in the Dallas Young Alumni Assc. that SMU is hosting a Happy Hour event April 7th where recent graduates of SMU (98-07) can get a chance to meet Coach Jones. I've already signed up for myself and a guest to attend. Any others who are considering making it out for this?

Sorry, I'm not invited. I can't believe I am officially an "old" alumni. Actually, the unofficial writing was on the wall when the college girls started wearing leggings and big shirts -- gawd awful staples of my late 80s and early 90s wardrobe -- again. I think I just saw some big bangs watching one of the tournaments last night too.

Someone needs to tell these girls that not every fashion trend should be revisited.

I'm not his buddy, but hopefully there is a decent turnout.

I was a transfer into SMU my junior year (non-athlete), so I didn't make many "buddies" during my time there. Pretty much everyone I know from SMU is from work and they're all the type that have basically renounced their fandom...at least until we win a few, I'm sure.

I've crossed to the other side. As of last year, I am no longer considered "young" by SMU.

I remember feeling the same way when I realized I needed to go sit on the Alumni side and leave the student section alone.....

I'm starting to get that creeping feeling too. Now I'm 24 and nearly two full years removed from my time on the Hilltop. I was walking around The Boulevard last year before the Tech game and it hit me like a ton of bricks that I'm no longer one of these kids! For those of you still a student at SMU enjoy it! It'll be over before you know it!
