Has anyone heard if Bennett will be doing the call-in show with Norm H. on Thursdays before each game like last year?

Do people still listen to the Ticket?? Those angry tired old men are boring..

I've switched to ESPN and Fox.

The only time The Ticket is worth listening to is when the Mustangs are on the road - and too far away to drive to the game.
My radio is locked on ESPN radio (which is great, except for those annoying froggy football ads....)

What are you guys talking about? The Ticket is greatness. In general the sports talk radio scene in Dallas is greatness compared to sports radio in Houston.

That's true. Except the pinheads on the Ticket don't talk sports, because they don't know anything about sports (except Norm Hitzges and Bob Sturm). They're too busy talking about bands, what players are jerks, women's anatomy, what celebrities they'd like to sleep with, etc. If you want to listen to guys talk about that, listen to the Ticket. You'll be asleep soon. As far as sports go, the Ticket is completely useless except for broadcasting SMU games.

(Speaking of which, have those of you who listen to that station heard ANY promos for SMU games this year? I doubt it.)

If you want to listen to sports, it's ESPN radio or the FOX station all the way.

I like all that stuff. I guess I'm in their demographic 18-24. Maybe when I get older I'll want more substance than radio's version of grab [deleted]. But it sure still is funny as hell. You guys would like Houston sports talk radio. It's just a bunch of old guys who are apologists for Houston's sports teams. They are really nice to the teams in the Houston area. Don't get me wrong these guys are solid when it comes to sports but it gets old after a while. But I guess the same could be said for The Ticket.

They've been promo-ing the SMU-Tech game quite a bit.

Glad to hear it! Maybe they're starting to realize that promoting SMU games will help their ratings more than the SMU-bashing that they're used to.

The Ticket was actually broadcasting from the press box at Gerald J. Ford stadium yesterday. I know Dale Hansen did his show there and the Throwdown (with Rich Phillips) also was there. Hubby flipped over to the Ticket in the car on the way back to the office from lunch. They actually had Bennett on for about a 5-10 minute interview. Bennett really didn't say anything new.

The great thing is that even when they weren't talking SMU, they mentioned it by saying they were live at SMU.

Don't hold your breath...if they talked about SMU at all (or any college sports for that matter) it would cut into their eight hours per day of Quincy/Chad debate. And they can't have that.

God the Ticket sucks.
