Monday (3/31) practice observations

Welcome to the most abbreviated practice observations ever - I got there with about 15 minutes left, and therefore (obviously) didn't see much.

Bonilla back: True to his word, linebacker Will Bonilla was back on the practice field with his teammates Monday. He said after practice that he thought he'd be limited, but said once he started to work out, the hamstring loosened up and felt good. Now, he said, the key is to see how he feels tomorrow morning.

Somebody's watching: Several spectators in attendance we wearing jackets and sweatshirts with "Nederland" on them - one can only assume they were Nederland coaches. Don't know where it is, or what kind of team they have there, but rivals.com lists two Nederland players at the moment in its database: WR Asa Cardenas (6-1/170/4.6) - no schools listed yet - and ILB Wareall Grogan (5-10/205/4.7) - also no schools listed yet. No idea if either of them can play. No stars doled out by the rivals folks yet, and no schools listed for either. Scout.com lists those two, plus OL Stefan Huber (6-4, 255).

Another interested observer: Didn't get a chance to talk to him, but a guy who looked a lot like Plano OL Blake McJunkin was in attendance Monday.

From my understanding Nederland is in the "Golden Triangle". That whole area is supposed to be filled with high schools that have talent.

Yup that was Blake at practice with us! Talk about Texas weather...we were bracing ourselves with the tornado watch and storms ... and it was hot as hell!

Wish I could hire you guys so you never had to miss practices for that silly "work" thing.
Great stuff, as always.
