Anyone know what's scheduled?

Is it going to be a real game, or one of those "scripted practice" things that so many schools now do? I'm excited to see Coach Jones' systems in place, but I would bet it's a very vanilla run-through.

1300 - 1400ish. Should only be an hour long. I've heard that we won't be going in pads since Jones isn't a huge fan of getting guys in pads and going all out in the off-season. I'd find it kinda strange not to be in pads but I mean, we've already accumulated so many injuries too so...that might make the most sense. Which reminds me, keep Adarius in your thoughts, he will be undergoing knee surgery tomorrow.
p.s. don't forget to check out the bone thugs performance and participate in the raffle!

From the email I received this afternoon

The SMU football team will wrap up spring football with a final open practice on Saturday, Apr. 5, at 1 p.m. inside Gerald J. Ford Stadium on the SMU campus. Near the end of SMU's practice, the Mustangs will run approximately 40 plays as part of their annual Red & Blue Scrimmage.

CONCERT & BARBEQUE PLANNED
Mustang fans are encouraged to come early at noon to see BONE THUGS N HARMONY perform in Doak Walker Plaza (just outside of Dedman). The concert is FREE and is hosted by the Cox School of Business Marketing Practicum Class.

While the Boulevard will remain closed, Mustang fans are invited to take part in a post-game barbeque following the game at the south end of the stadium. For more information on the barbeque and to RSVP, call Debbie Mulvenna at 214-768-3315 or e-mail her at [email protected]. The costs are $15 for Mustang Club members, $20 for non- members and $5 for children.

I would bet anyone with even a hint of an injury gets held out.

Might not be as exciting, but it makes total sense.

I've heard June Jones does not always require full pads even during regular season practices.

I hate it when they don't go full speed, but I hated it even more when the comet went down in a scrimmage.......that sucked.

No worries. THe "script" is so full there's no time for injuries.
