Practice has been moved to 1400 for today. As far as I know, we won't be moving back to 1600 today. Obviously, this is due to inclement weather.

Maybe we should use the Mrs. Baird's plot to build an indoor practice facility so that we won't have to worry about weather.

Rumor is that they're implementing sophmores and maybe even juniors to stay in dorms so that could be a spot they use to do that

I wonder how much profit they make of a student living in the dorms for a year.

Dorms are very profitable; moreso the meal plans that go unused. The plan is to make all sophomores (not Jr's) to live on campus in either dorms or greek houses (SMU owns all the fraternity houses now, with one possible exception).

Right on. There is one exception.

According to DCAD SMU owns that whole block, Phi Delt included. I'm trying to figure it out now.

Not Sigma Chi either, I don't think. The brunt of campus is on one giant parcel, from Hillcrest to Airline, Mockingbird to McFarlin.

I think that the old frat houses (way back before you were born) all sat on SMU property, but the fraternities owned the structures...sort of like leasing the property or something along those lines, but then I could be wrong.
FYI, Fraternity Row use to back up to and parallel Airline Road, but faced the West starting right across from the old engineering school building and continuing towards the south and ending at Binkley where the Lambda Chi and SAE houses faced north on Binkley. Somebody help me here, what fraternity had the most northern house? Was that the KA's? They were big on the Confederacy including a working old cannon sitting in the front yard.

If anybody owns there house, it is Sigma Chi. I am just not sure they do.
I remember that I was told, back when I was a student, that Sigma Chi, Lambda Chi and SAE were the last ones that owned their houses. But I find that odd because the Sig Chi house is newer that some others that the university owns, like KA and Kappa Sig. I know that Lambda Chi and SAE lost ownership to their houses when they were relocated.
Point of clarification (and to clear up a comment somebody made above): even though they owned their houses, they didn't own the land; they had 100 year ground leases.
