Jean-Jacques column today: Rhodes suspended too?

Postby RGV Pony » Sat Apr 05, 2008 8:16 am

I wasn't aware of this...has it even been mentioned on the board? Or perhaps he's not suspended & it's things of a personal matter? The column mentions Rhodes and JWill both need to get their "off the field" issues in check.

Is this news to anyone else? Have I missed something?

Rhodes should be fine. It's more of a "preventative" measure, from what I've been told. He's done a very good job learning the offense, and will resume working out with the team after spring ball is over. Besides, JJT also talks about Morse and Miller as backup candidates - Morse is now playing lineacker.

Half of those are being held out due to injuries, right?

Rhodes is not doing as well as he could be in one of his classes and has recently switched concentrations. Patrick Fleming is out for different reasons

I spoke with Chase Smith's mother and she said he should be ready in the fall. He loves the new coach and the "teaching" atmoshere...and no yelling.

I hope she is right, but people that I have talked with, are not as optimistic.

Well, the people that I have talked with think that the world has been touched by the Flying Spaghetti Monster's noodlely appendage.
