DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU football team will have four games broadcast on CBS College Sports Network this fall, the network announced today. SMU games against TCU, Tulane, UCF and Navy will all be broadcast nationwide on the cable network.

The annual Battle for the Iron Skillet against TCU will be televised and will kick off at 7 p.m. on Sept. 20. SMU will then make a quick turnaround and travel to the Big Easy to take on Tulane in a Thursday night game on Sept. 25. The game against the Green Wave will also kick at 7 p.m. The following week, SMU will head to Orlando to take on UCF in another nationally-televised game at 2:30 p.m. In a break from the Conference USA portion of the schedule, SMU will battle Navy in Annapolis on Oct. 25. The game will air live at 2:30 p.m.

The CBS CS games are in addition to SMU's previously announced Friday night, Aug. 29th opener at Rice, which will air on ESPN.

A full schedule can be found here.

Mustang football fans are excited about the upcoming season. Season ticket sales are ahead of last year and the best seats are going fast. For more information about tickets, contact the SMU Ticket Sales Office at (214) SMU-GAME

CBS College Sports bought out CSTV. I hope Time Warner, Verizon, etc... will pick this up.

any word on the Tulsa game time or day changing so we

4 of our 6 road games on national tv? Way to go mob boss! I'll bet the other two are picked up by channel 21, Brad Sham does a great job.

FEAR THE MOB BOSS!

Here's hoping Channel 21 picks up every road game outside of the Rice/ESPN game. CBSCSTV, or whatever it's called this week, is pretty weak. Sham is good, but Rich and Swanny are better!

If these games are picked up by Dallas television it will no doubt be the result of SMU having made a generous offering.

Now THAT'S a homer call, Corso. Love it.

Maybe so, but I still associate Sham with the Irving/Arlington team that I dislike so much. Rich Phillips (despite his ties to the Ticket) and the great Craig Swann are fantastic.

Oh now how can you hate the Staubach-led Cowboys? Sham was their announcer too. He's one of the best in the business.

While I hate the Cowboys, I think Brad Sham is pretty good. He could use a little more prep time on the names of our players, but then again, it's not like we really warranted the extra attention last year.

For those that really want to listen to Rich & Swanny, you could play the radio with the sound on your TV turned down. And if the delay is really bad, just use Tivo or a DVR and you can pause for a few seconds and then hit play to synch the broadcasts.

Ah yes but what if the radio broadcast is a couple seconds ahead of the video?

I guess you put you hands over your ears and hum the tune to the Andy Griffith show real loud.
