any chance there will be a storm in Lubbock on Sat night like the one in Big D right now? That would stall the Tech aerial attack.

Any storm that grounds the Tech passing game also would ground the SMU passing game - and render the kicking game meaningless for most teams. That would make it an all-rushing game - which SMU might win, right?

If they can keep the ball dry, wet fields actually aid a passing team. Be careful what you wish for.

OP, this was no steady rain I was referring to. It was an absolute driving rainstorm. No one can throw in the type of storm that just came thru Dallas. It was more of a quip than anything because storms like that don't usually last too long anyway.

I suspect it will be hotter than you-know-where in Lubbock during the day. All the more reason to PARTY during the tailgate activities that afternoon. Image

Both teams play in the same weather - whatever it is - bring it on. By they way - its west Texas, they might get rain again in, say, 2007.

Actually, the weather in Lubbock looks great. 30% chance afternoon thunderstorms, partly cloudy in evening. High 85, low 60. That is AWESOME football weather.
