Who are the celebrities Richards and Nordgren. Never heard of them. Are they on Dancing with the Stars?

Incorrect.

Brad Richards, indeed, plays for the Stars. Matt Nordgren, however, is a former University of Texas *backup* quarterback... how he qualifies as a celebrity is beyond me.

(You may have been thinking of Mattias Norstrom.)

Boy, PFs will never be accused of being the most sports knowledgeable? Brad Richards only led Tampa Bay to the Stanley Cup and won the Conn Smythe (MVP of the Playoffs) in 04. More recently he was the key part of one of the bigger trades the Stars have made in years when they acquired him for the playoff run....and so far it looks like a great move.

As for Matt Nordgren, I’ll give ya that. He was Vince’s backup and rarely ever saw the field. He has ties to Dallas as he was a Bishop Lynch grad.

Go Stars, eh?

Hey, I'm not saying that Modano is now the second coming of Guy Carbaneau, but his checking line is just looking dandy. I really like the three lines we're rolling out there - who knows, other than Hagman, who is on our fourth line. But the top three lines ares something special. Though, it is supremely odd to see Jere and Mike on the ice without each other. (I post this here because the Richards trade precipitated Modano's move - demotion? -to the third line.)

Oh and congratulations to JJ, nice win.

Indeed. It is very weird to see the Stars succeed in the playoffs and not having Mo or Lehtnen be THE GUY. I love the mix of young guys and vets they have put together. It is the genius of Brett Hull.

I'm hoping for a Stars/Wings West Finals. That would be fun.

I don't follow hockey. I went to a couple of games a long time ago. Fun sport in person (if you are in the lower sections) but not on tv. I probably know a lot more about indy car racing and tennis which is cose to zero than hockey.

What kind of pub will this get locally with the name 'June Jones, SMU head football coach' attached to it? Hopefully a helluva lot! :)

Sounds to me like Coach Jones and Coach Doherty both understand the fact that their teams can't have too much publicity. Good to see The Man out in the community, especially where there are huge crowds and lots of TV cameras.

That would be a whole hell of a lot of fun. However, I'm going to stay totally focused on the Sharks. Hell I might watch Jaws sometime between now and Friday night ;)

Now if I can get aheald of myself for a moment, I think either Western Conference potential foe would be awesome. Both would be intriguing... but, yes, like you I'd rather face the Wings.

Hully!!! Now if only we had him suited up to "kick in" a goal or two. Now I am getting way ahead of myself, but poetry would be us winning the Stanley cup again... add Brett Hull win Stanley Cup. Name Brett Hull as (interim co-) GM win Stanley Cup.

I digress.

June Jones! Golf! Winner! There we go, are we back on track.

It is?
I have tried it 3 times.
Each time really trying to give it a chance.
No thanks.
Thank God there were women to gawk at and beer to guzzle.

Is JJ a good golfer or did the others carry him?
