Don't know if anyone has already posted this. Nice to see other schools around us pushing.

How about taking a wrecking ball and starting over. Robertson is such a dump.

Any ideas how much Ford would cost if it was built today?

It cost nearly 60 million, with additional money spent on Lettermans Hall, Hall of Champions...etc...

Exactly, and it was under construction 10 years ago, so you got to think it would cost closer to $75M today.

Just want to put some perspective between Ford and what TCU and now UH are doing.

They mentioned it in the linked thread, and I wondered if it was going to be a problem... Asbestos abatement will eat away a decent sized amount of that $30mil.

From the way I read that thread, the asbestos abatement will be in Hofheinz Pavilion in upgrades to that facility.

Do you think that construction on a stadium like Ford would really only be up 25% since 1998? I would say much higher

Well, an inflation and constructon cost calculator 30 MM to 52 MM, FWIW.

TCU has spent 20 MM on the endzone project, and a 190 MM plan is underway (half of it already funded, before announcement). We'll basically be raising our stadium.

Putting money into Robertson is putting lipstick on really really ugly pig. Or one of Stallions late night recruits.

Raising your stadium or razing your stadium? Either way it's an improvement.
