You must read the book Hwaii Warrior Football if you are an SMU fan. I thought I was a JJ fan before reading this book but I had no idea. I am now officially his biggest fan. The only question is when we retrurn to greatness. I don't know but I know it's coming. Anyone who says differently doesn't know what he is talking about.

I am also very excited as JJ has a proven track record, but you have to admit, the book isn't exactly an objective analysis.

That said, it is awesome to read the Kate article from today and see the Pony quotes looking gloriously like the Hawaii quotes in the Hawaii book!

I loved it when he said, you can't worry about the outcome..the wins will come. This guy is Confident with a capitol C. I wish I was 80 years younger. Me and myrdel on the field. Glorious.

I love where it talks about playing 'not to lose' as a sure way to lose. Explains the Bennett philosophy and why it failed.

Damn it's nice to see SMU actually trying to win.

I remeber someone on this board constantly saying that if you play not to lose then you will lose. What a great poster.

Unfortunately he had forgotten more of it than all of us would ever know.
