According to Coach Jones he has completed what was required of him and is now eligible to compete.

This is great news. I have little doubt that he will be the starter.

He better have since I think school just ended? But I wouldn't doubt there is some summer school in his future. No, I can't read the story right now.

Good news, indeed. Thanks, Justin, for doing what Coach Jones and his staff have asked of you. What's in the past will be left in the past - now get your summer school taken care of, get in the best shape of your life and compete in August.

Interesting that the QBs listed were Willis, Turner, Mitchell and Gamso ... what's up with Rhodes and Smith (redshirt?)?

Nice to see that site "going ESPN" on us, reminding us that even though the story is on that site, the interview was conducted by that site. I'm just waiting to hear Sal Palantonio chime in with "Andy Reid told me ....." By all means, don't let the actual information in a story get in the way of reminding folks that you're more important than the story itself...........

hopefully JWill understands that there is no more chances for him on this team. Maybe he'll look at the Ryan Perilloux situation and make the best decisions that will keep him on this team.

best of luck JWill and keep on goin to class

The Smith omission is made more curious by the fact that according to a story over there, he had more offers than any other media outlet suggests:

"Smith was also offered by Arkansas State, Oklahoma State, Missouri and Utah."

Huh?

Heard that Rhodes may be looking to go somewhere that he can play QB.

Smith just signed with us on Feb. 6. We usually don't put signees on the roster until they have enrolled in school. Andrew Ellison from the 2008 signing class is on there because he arrived for the spring semester.

Right - I get that.
But Mitchell just signed in February, too, and Gamso is a walk-on, and they're listed here. I'm just curious about the discrepency in why some are named and others aren't.

If you're getting that from the scout story, I understand what you're saying. However, look at the roster on the school's athletic web site Mitchell and Gamso aren't on there. Don't read too much into that. If they aren't there by August, then you should wonder.

Mitchell, Smith and Gamso are not listed on the school website, as they are not yet students. Rhodes is on the roster.
