apparently former SMU Assistant Coach Mike Barr is involved in the production of the Jim Dent written movie about the great Masonic Home teams of the 1930s.

Twelve Mighty Orphans is a great read. I still think that The Junction Boys is Dent's best so far, though. For any of you who have not yet read either book, I urge you to do so. It'll help get you thru the summer days before football season begins!

Let us not forget that Rusty Russell became the head football coach at Highland Park High School in Dallas following his time at The Masonic Home. Had it not been for RR coaching the Scots while Doak Walker & Bobby Layne played there, Doak might not have come to The Hilltop (where RR had become the backfield coach) but, instead, followed Layne to U.T.
