Coming off a 1-11 season, I certainly hope we rise....

I agree with the assessment of SMU - a chance (surely no guarantee) for great improvement.

I disagree, however, with the assessment - and not just because I hate Frog High. They said TCU's luck is about to change - I agree, but in the other direction. Losing Blake (of two years ago) and Ortiz will be huge, and they lost some other good guys on that defense. I see a .500 team over there, give or take a little, even in that crappy, too-far-flung-to-have-legitimate-rivals, declining conference.

They have some very good young recruits. I think .500 might be a little low. They'll do ok other than the standard MWC losses to BYU and maybe one more. As for our game against them...well, I'll wait until I see the first couple games and how the offense clicks to predict that one.

Geez TCU ain't going to finish anywhere close to .500. Very talented non-BCS team-one of the best in the country.

TCU will have a great defense and a very average offense. They will finish well above 500 though since they eased up their schedule - they are playing Stephen F (yes the fighting lumberjacks), us (getting better but we won't be there in year one), Stanford (not a good yr for them), and OU - who will absolutely crush them.

They will only lose three games I predict. However in that bad bowl tie-in conference that might put them in the Ft Worth bowl (again).

Andy Dalton is OK not great and TCU's OC is a yawner. Due to weak schedule they will play in Old South Pancake Ft. Worth Bowl.

Conference smack from a team in a conference that hasn't had a team in the top 25 since they joined, is funny.

I can't wait to kick TCU's butt all the way back to Fort Worth on September 20. Time to heat up the Iron Skillet!
