got to admit - he tells it like it is
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

After undergoing successful treatment for prostate cancer, Hayden Fry moved to Nevada to live in retirement. Fry was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2003, alongside former SMU star Jerry LeVias. He received the Amos Alonzo Stagg Award, presented by the American Football Coaches Association, in 2005.

Back in the mid-sixties when I was a kid at Withers Elem I used to hang out with Coach Fry's son Abe. They had a house that backed up to Forest Ln just east of Midway if I remember right. The house must be still there and is the one that has about 4 chimneys or more. I remember Hayden being pretty cool to us kids... clearly his firing at SMU was a bonehead move.
