According to Athlon Sports Magazine the Depth chart is out and there are some interesting positions being forcast for incoming freshmen. I think from a need standpoint, this class will have fewer red-shirts than players.
Depth Chart:
QB - Bo Levi Mitchell - #2
WR - BJ Lee - #2' EJ Drewery - #2; Cole Beasley, Cole Loftin and Quincy Whittington will also be in the mix.
OL - Andrew Robiskie - #2; watch for Josh Emshoff and Sidney Nwangwu, also.
D-line - none listed but, expect, Torian Pittman and Taylor Thompson to compete.
LB - Alex Odiari - #1
CB - Deyton McElroy ( not listed but should start early).
SS - Chris Banjo (")

That's five that are already on the depth chart. Don't expect a lot of redshirts in this class; we have too many needs.

Athlon doesn't make the final depth chart - JJ does. Athlon just does some guesswork.

They probably got it from JJ.

athlon sports is a good magazine im sure they call the coaches to find out there info on the depth chart if you havent looked at the magazine i say you stop nay saying it and go buy one SMU is ranked #91 in the nation and #4 in the conf. they predict which teams smu will beat and lose to go check it out its pretty interesting

I would add V. Jones, Huahulu, And Jordan Free to the mix as well.

I don't have a problem with Athlon writeups but they are absolutely horrible at making predictions.

Absolutely...I din't want to actually come out and say that there aren't going to be red-shirts; just not very many.
