I think we will beat out Temple vs Army in the ratings.

And I bet Southlake Carroll will have more butts in the stands than we have veiwers that night. What a drag that we get national tv and have to compete with the kick off of Texas High School football.

I plan on watching both as I am an Army fan but yea....Temple/Army or Rice/SMU. Tough call....
Last year they did the 25 hours of college football capped by the LSU @ Mississippi St. game. I got so pumped for the season watching that. They had a couple of other crappy games that night but still it was exciting to watch that! S. Carolina and NC State will be a bore but it's college football. Does anyone remember the Friday night opener last year? It was Washington @ Syracuse. Sean McDounough will probably be comentating the SMU game as well since he did most Friday night games last year.

LHPony,,,Actually Southlake U. plays against Plano West on Saturday, Aug. 30th, at Ford Stadium, which would be an entertaining high school game to watch except it starts at 4:30 and the heat would be pretty unbearable, especially without the refreshments on the boulevard before the game!

Considering PESH isn't playing Southlake, they might have a chance.

The post above used to say East, it now says West. Whatever.
