Let's take this with a grain of salt. Remember that guy last year (on Fox Sports, I think) who had us as his dark horse pick to win C-USA?

Why does it say that I have been banned from the Sporting News forum? Anybody else getting that message?

CSTV "CUSA Insider" guy.
Plus there was the dude from "The Sports Page", or somesuch, local Dallas free sports rag, that picked us number 10. I remember emailing him, he said it was a tad tongue in cheek but he was really hoping to see a big turn around.

I don't know, but it won't let me register either. I guess my reputation precedes me.

Holy Molly,
" 25. SMU. Spencer has visions of June Jones' first season at Hawaii and the greatest one-season turnaround in NCAA history. Congrats, Hall. You nailed one out of 25."
Talking about raising expectations.

Reality may be sobering, but the possibilities are exciting. Nothing wrong with that

12. Texas Tech. I'd love to get Spencer and Mike Leach -- the smartest, quirkiest coach in the game -- in a room together with a tape recorder and let 'em both start riffing.
Leach: "I love Pirates; I love who they were and what they meant and how they lived the ocean."
Spencer: "I love Gilligan's Island."

I will take a shot of that Kool-aid along with the agape it was made from.
I enjoyed reading that.
