Can you guys believe that this game hasn't yet picked up this game? This one seems like the one 'no-brainer' TV game on the schedule.
Anyhow, my money's on this one getting picked up by Fox Sports. At least, I hope so as I have made no plans to go to Lubbock. (Sure I can get the game on All Access, but I really want this baby in HD.... plus, I have gone completely Mac now, and last year All Access didn't work on Mac.)

Sweet. Then I will be just fine. As a side note, I'd love to come up for your tasty storm (oh this hail is to die for), but I think I'll be hitting by buddies tailgate for the Arkansas @ Texas game. That games at 2:30.... our matchup's at six.

I don't know if that was in jest, or not.... but I'm of the huge opinion that if you have the opportunity to be at a college football game - or in this case, just going to the tailgate - you go. Last season the Mustangs pretty much conflicted with every Texas game, so I never made out for a beer, sausages, trash talking, football banter, socio-politcal commentary based on trumped up geographical rivalries, and co-eds. Did I mention co-eds? And beer?
One of the dude's who hosts the particular tailgate I will be attending cares very little for football, though he played in high school. It's not that he cares little, it's just that he doesn't care if he's watching or not, and doesn't care who wins or loses. He's just about the beer and the good time. Now all the rest of his group cares about football, but not him. He went to Texas Tech. While he doesn't care about the result, he knows that I do. Over the last few football seasons he texts me after a Tech win over SMU and then every week thereafter - "Week 1 and Tech owns SMU." .... "Week 4 and Tech owns SMU." It's not a fun way to start my Saturday.
Also, another guy at the tailgate is going back to school. Law school. AT Tech. He'll be coming in for every UT game.... don't know if he is going to pick up Tech as his second team, I would imagine it's likely. Stallion might have an idea.
But anyhow, I'd love to be there with those guys. Especially if SMU can pull this one out.

Oh, and the last time Arkansas played at UT (or I think it was the last time) I was at the game. Arkansas won. That was the same day of punt fest '03 - I went to both games.

I hope they tie and play 27 overtimes and then there's a power outage so the game ends in a tie. I hate both schools equally. The two biggest culprits in the demise of the SWC.

Wouldn't you include SMU as one of the culprits?
We've never lost the tailgate.

the state legislature had a nice role in its downfall...most of which were tech and baylor alums at the time...guess who would have been on the outside looking in if the big 12(would it have been called the REAL big ten?) had its way?
