I played basketball at Dedman with AD and some of his crew last week. I really think you lose an appreciation for how absurdly athletic this kid is unless you see him out of pads.

For looking like a scarier version of 50 cent, this kid is as country as they come. And a mean rebounder.

He said that the team is excited for, as opposed to dreading, organized summer workouts, which began last week.

He also asked me how much he should beat Tech by. I told him to make it close, no one wants a boring blowout.

I just don't want to walk away from the Tech game with absolutely nothing positive like I did last year. At least in 06 we had Willis to be excited about. Even though we'll probably lose, I'd at least like to see some positives and maybe a play or two that shows me that soon we'll be able to hang with the big boys.

I'm not ready to concede the game just yet...and hopefully the team isn't either....

I think that our players need to worry about Rice and Texas State first. There would be nothing worse than going into the Tech game with a loss

Two losses wouldn't be worse?

You're right - Tech doesn't matter yet.

BEAT RICE!

Justin Willis was less than steller in his first two games as a redshirt freshman. He threw for 69 yards against Texas Tech in 2006 and the passing game was plain awful against NTSU. Willis had trouble throwing the ball downfield (averaging about 6-7 yards per completion) in those games making SMU's passing game inept. A prime reason I hope we don't see a freshman or redshirt freshman opening the season at QB.

Tech is LOADED this year, and will be in almost every preseason top 25.

I've heard several players say Adrian Dizer is one of the best overall athletes on the entire roster.

Evidently Justin Rogers says he'd be a monster if he could stay healthy & bulk up...
