many people i talk to about our football program are optimistic that after a few winning seasons we could have a shot or at least make a push to join the Big 12, clearly the name would change (or they would make the logo diff. like the Big Ten, so dumb) and the layout of the divisions would have to shift...OU to the North? (would certainly make a more interesting Championship game). lay down your "this will never happen" banners and think hypothetically about who could be booted out.


i am on the fence about 3 programs that routinely, and for lack of a better phrase, suck. if the current division format stayed the same i would say kick Baylor out. with the possibility of moving OU to the North and potentially making our championship game more exciting, boot Iowa State or Colorado.

Why so confident we'll get picked to move up? U of H, Tulsa, and Southern Miss have been consistenly strong C-USA teams that are geographically Big-12-ish and haven't been bumped up. I'm pretty sure we're not so high on the list of "Teams That Deserve a Stronger Conference"

i guess im basing this on the fact that we used to play in the SWC conference

I think getting into the Big Twelve should be a definite goal.
