i like, thank you....
Junes Jones:
"I have a five-year contract," he says of the deal that pays him about $2 million a year, more than twice what he made at Hawaii. "Our goal is to get to a bowl game. I would anticipate we'll be able to do that within five years. The people here aren't paying me all this money if they don't believe it, too."
...you got that right!

How does a football program that finished 1-11 and drew fewer than 20,000 fans per game last year afford to pay that much for a coach? It's part of a process that started with the decision to construct the $50,000 Gerald J. Ford Stadium 2000 and took another big step with the hiring of UCF athletic director Steve Orsini.
They must be thinking of the TCU stadium.

Does every SMU article have these same paragraphs?
After all, SMU football topped the NCAA's most-wanted list in the 1980s and became the most prominent program to receive the NCAA's so-called "death penalty."
SMU, which in the early 1980s was one of the nation's best programs, was shut down by the NCAA for a year  1987. Another year of idleness  1988  was self-imposed. When SMU resumed play, it was at a significantly de-emphasized level and, predictably, the team became a consistent loser.
The Mustangs have had one winning season since the death penalty  6-5 in 1997. They haven't been to a bowl game since 1984.
Just send 'da money.

Yes.
(But June Jones is here to change that.)

The Death Penalty will NEVER be forgotten and nor should it. It was a tragic, disastrous event that forever changed the face of athletics at this university. We have a lot of wealthy, influential alumni who need that constant reminder of what some of our slimiest boosters did to this program.
Back off Warchild seriously.

We need to quit mourning the death penalty! I want to put up a giant "Touchdown Dollar Sign" in Ford stadium as a giant F U. Think of the publicity!
(not endorsing any new cheating, btw)

And a loud "cha-ching!!!!" would be blasted over the sound system every time we crossed the goal line, right?

Anyone notice the mistake in the photo tagline on the spending article, where it states that June Jones will earn "$100,000 a year as the new head coach at SMU"? Haha, now that would be a bargain.

We can have plumes of $1 bills blast out over the crowd at each score as well!!!
Think about how many (football playing) inner city rap fans will want to show up with platinum chains and giant gold dollar sign medalions! This will not only get publicity, it will bring together people of all financial backgrounds and increase recruiting!
