As a Mustang Club member I would think I'd at least get an e-mail or something about this. Wasn't it a few weeks ago when everyone was saying that the new uniforms were just "weeks away" from being released to the public? Is there any other program in America where the fans don't know what their team's uniforms will be at the beginning of July?! C'mon athletic department, its time to show us the goods.

a thread on PonyStampede starting hinting yesterday that a annoucement concerning "the way the team will look on the field this year" could come at any momment-waiting on the SID to release information. Speculation was "the announcement" could come today even.

Waiting worked for the coaching search. I'm going to blindly trust that it will work for uniforms.

Well, if you want some media coverage for it on the 5 minutes of sports news on local TV you get every night, you have to pick your spot. Till recently, there has been a lot of sports cr@p going on. Now that the NBA draft is over, all we have are the Rangers. Best bet is between now and Cowboys training camp. I would guess this week or next; more likely next week

I guess I just don't see the average sports having his sports pants go crazy by new SMU uniforms. Its different for us b/c we actually give a damn about SMU, but I don't think this fashion show unveiling is going to have the impact all this waiting should warrant. Then again, I was furious at the coaching search going longer than anyone would have imagined and that turned out well. So I understand if SMU doesn't consult me before making any decisions.

What's to figure out?

White helmets, red facemask, on red stripe with two blue stripes.
A red jersey, a blue jersey and a white jersey. Couple of stripes on the sleeves.
Not sure about the pants.

Based on the rumors we'll just have white pants.

The question is if there is space between the stripes or not.

All I care about is how they look in the end zone.

Not everyone, me, and it has always been during the month of July, to capitalize on a traditionally dead period of coverage for SMU athletics/football. You all have waited this long, a little more won't kill anybody.

How much farther???????
