June is coming… that’s a lot of pressure, and weight on his shoulders the first year to perform with the current lineup. He will need more talent to win consistently.
I just hope there is not a crucifixion if he doesn’t get 6 wins.
My prediction is anything from 4-7 wins 2008
When George O’Leary inherited our 0 and 11 team at UCF the first thing he did was go out and recruit speed, and an OL. In 2004 We had one guy on the team that ran a 4.5- 40. He worked on the the D with a new coach the following year. we had a sub par QB but with the other three factors it was good enough for two CUSA championships.
I watched UCF loose 17 games in a row, and then go to the top of CUSA. I believe Jones is a better coach than O’Leary is and will attract better players with his coaching style and positive approach as apposed to old school. When you start winning it really helps with recruiting
