Evan should benefit, from a couple of years with coach Vic.

Evan will benefit from a college strength and conditioning program no question (as will all the recruits), but dont forget he wrestled at Servite in addition to playing football. I believe he fluctuated around 50# this past year (~320 to 270; and played near 285-290) so some compensatory gain is expected, and @ ~6'1-2'' it shows on his frame. He is strong, very athletic, with great feet and should be stout against the run as a DT in Mason's scheme.

A nice thing about the staff in addition to Viloria is the availability of Bert Hill, and when it comes to strength and conditioning he is a guru, and the players are already using some of his position specific agility drills.

Yes, he'll benefit from working with Vic, but DTs don't have to be bodybuilders. Ever see Warren Sapp with his shirt off? What about Jason Ferguson? Casey Hampton? Shaun Rogers? Kris Jenkins? Kevin Williams? Cornelius Griffin? Not one of them looks slim and trim. If he has flexibility and quickness and strength, he looks damn good to me.

The photographer said in his post that he is new and is trying to learn everyone's name.

[quote="Webmaster"]Don't worry about Huahulu. Watched him lift, and ... wow. Dude squatted two reps of about 500 pounds, and it was EASY.

I did notice his legs.

My son started 4 years as an OL-RT in college I have seen a lot of DTs.
I don't hang out in the locker room, so I can't compare all of their pecks.

Upper body strength will make a major impact at that position...

If Sanders could just trim some body fat he might really be a player. If I had those abs I wouldn't wear a shirt ever again.
