Ran into A'Darius Medford, who is recovering from surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.

Medford, who suffered the injury early in spring practice, said his recovery is "going great," and when I asked if he still feels any discomfort, he said no. "Everything feels great." He also added that he has been diligent about studying the playbook and film, and is eager to become a part of Coach Jones' offense.

Medford, who redshirted in 2006, said he is doing some light running already, and has no intention of missing the 2008 season. He said he expects to be cleared Sept. 3 to resume full workouts with the team, and that he fully intends to play this season.

If he can play this year at full speed that would be some good news for SMU. Thanks PonyPride.
