With all of the position battles, and questions the Ponies have going into camp, will this be another small factor?
Rice starts camp on August 1st, the Stangs on August 3rd.

And dont forget....SMU has to travel to that game. Look for Rice to get further ahead by spending those few hours perfecting their offensive attack by throwing another 74 jump balls to Jarrett Dillard while an unbelievably average 10 players stand around discussing the lack of campus talent and who approved the gold trim in their uniforms.
June will make up for the delayed start by the end of day 1.

But I bet their school starts before ours too. Our classes start the day before the game.

My guess is that JJ has a plan for Dillard, and one that does not involve waiting until he catches the ball to act.
The issue is simple if you ask me. If our offense is productive on the first day, we can win this game. Rice's D was awful last year, and maybe they will not have improved as much as I think our will have. If we can't click on offense then it will be a long day because while I am sure that JJ will have a plan for taking Dillard out of the game as much as possible, and for making Clement feel the pressure (there is a lot of expectation on that guy - he might crack), we will need our offense on the field a lot to win.
I foresee an entertaining game.
SMU 38 - Rice 31

what really gets me is that we've had Dilliard covered like a blanket on most of his big plays-he just outjumps our kids.

coaching and superior tailgating will overcome the owls...plus Peruna would be likely to take a chunk out of the their owl if she gets hungry

The suits are trying to keep freshmen sober in their first week of college this year.

Not like anyone goes to class before the add/drop date anyway.

He's referring to the Retail Chain, not the Receiver.
