did anybody else notice that the school has made Fall Break over a weekend home game? it says October 13-14 (monday and tuesday) on the calendar, but speaking from past experience, i dont think many students will stick around another day or two for a football game October 11 against Tulsa

They were trying to move that game to Thursday, Oct. 11 for ESPN/Fox but couldn't get it done. The main reason is because that's Texas-OU weekend and they didn't want the conflict. At the very least, they made it a night game.

So we're just going to have to make due. Too late to do anything now.

I'm not going to cry about missing the 6 students who show up to games.

Fall break affects almost the entire school, so changing it isn't easy.

BTW, the Thursday night games on 10/9 are Clemson at Wake Forest and UAB at Houston.

Should any students want to give up their tickets for that night, I could treat my pool-boy and yardman to a game.

Fall break?? For godsake, students are coddled these days. When I was in school we didn't have a fall break, we only had a spring break, and we were glad to have it too. Uphill, both ways, in the snow. With no shoes.

what's even funnier is that last year they put it at the beginning of Thanksgiving week so we had a week off. everyone complained and got it changed back. so now we have 2 long weekends

Could we move it to Thurs. and not have it on TV? Between Fall Break and Texas-OU there will be no one there.
